  • Removed and replaced air filters
  • Test drove vehicle – noted the squeak noise is from left rear wheel Inspected rear brake pads – left side 1.0 mm, Right side 4.0 mm – abnormal wear Switch the electronic parking brakes to maintenance mode and reversed caliper pistons – both rear caliper pitons moved easily Therefore the caliper is not found to be hanging this time, It may have electronic park brake malfunction not known this time Inspected for DTC – no malfunction DTC in the system Measured rear brake discs: Rt – 9.06, Lt – 8.94 m – okay. Discard spec 7.0 mm Front pads measured 8.0 mm – okay Advised customer that if the brake pads continue to wear abnormally, then caliper may need replacement or diagnosed at dealership Recommend to resurface rear brake discs, replace new pads Customer authorized
  • Removed serpentine belt – inspected pulleys – all okay Installed new belt – inspected traction – okay
  • Resurfaced rear brake discs, measured: Rt – 8.79, Lt – 8.65 mm – okay Serviced brake caliper brackets, polished hubs, replaced discs with new brake pads Reset electronic parking brake system – test operation – holds good when commanded Test drove vehicle – no more noise

  • Blower operative at all speed, temperature control and doors operative No AC clutch or fan Inspected electrical connectors in place, blades are in good shape and belt okay Checked static pressure – Low 20 psi, High – 0 psi Inspected for evidence of leaks – no wet signs noted Vacuum system for 20 minutes – holds vacuum Charged system to spec – 1.25 lbs, added 2.0 oz of pag/dye – ran system, cycle pressure: low 28 psi, high 156 psi at temperature of 42 deg F, ambient temperature of 88 deg F Soak test service ports – no active leaks Inspected other mechanical AC component – no active leaks noted Recommend customer to bring it back in 2 weeks to recheck if any signs of leak can be found
  • Inspected and found the pass side washer nozzle is broken – therefore the fluid leaks under hood Recommend customer to replace nozzle Customer authorized – so replaced nozzle and rechecked – squirts fluid now Removed and replaced both wiper blades

  • Drove with customer – ABS is operating fine. After trying to brake few times, a rough grind type noise is felt on left front wheel but vehicle seem to stop fine The noise can be felt on the brake pedal too Raised and inspected wheel bearings – no play noted Both CV axles have started to leak grease Inspected the brake pads are 6.0 mm more than 3.0 mm (Discard) all and rotors are smooth Heat shims on front pads have moved and stuck away from original place Removed pads and realigned shim, degalzed pads, lubricated caliper brackets and installed everything back. Set all tire pressure to 32 psi, and test drove again, braking is quite now Advised customer that if the conditions return, than recommend to replace front brake discs and pads with new
