  • Changed oil and filter, checked off other fluids, inflated tires, reset maintenance, service tag attached to window Start and ran engine – no more tapping noise Test drove vehicle, engine oil light does not go off
  • Checked engine oil level – doe snot register on dipstick Engine makes ticking/tapping noise upon start up – lifters are noisy No service tag on windshield – Service overdue by 8K miles per history in records Recommend to perform LOF service and recheck Customer authorized
  • Checked tire pressure – all tires low on air pressure except left front tire Inflated all tires 32 psi – spec 30 psi Cleared DTC – light stays off Notes: Tires need rotated – front 5/32 sec, Rear 7/32 sec Customer authorized
  • Notes; Hub caps are scratched/broken and retainer bolts missing on all Wheel nuts are flared so they come off with lot of resistance. It would need replacement in near future Rotated tires

  • DTC – P16D0 – Intake rocker arm solenoid stuck off Diagnose – Check oil level is ok , road test vehicle runs fine no misfire no check engine light , Perform functional test to vvt operates normal at this time , Run T- S – B – PIP5255A – Says it may have oil leaks from timing cover area cylinder head galley plug , some oil can be seen at timing cover area so advised customer first replace new vvt solenoid clear dtc let customer drive if same dtc comes back than need to replace galley plugs as per – T- S- – B – Authorized
  • MAINTENANCE – OIL CHANGE, BASIC VISUAL INSPECTION Top up all the fluids Inflate tires to – 33 psi all Reset maintenance reminder light
  • Replace vvt solenoid on intake side clear dtc and re check road test vehicle runs fine no check engine light now
  • Road test vehicle no abnormal noise was heard from brakes raise vehicle up on air inspect front brake are – 6.0 mm both sides and rear brakes are – 4.5 mm both

  • Diagnose – Check oil levels ok but coolant is low by 2 qts , top up pressure test no leaks found at this time , start motor run on bay at 2000 RPM use scan tool monitor engine temperature and cooling fan operation starts at 217 degrees , some times it does not come on due to bad fan relay , so recommend to replace new relays and recheck – Authorized
  • Diagnose – Use scan tool no dtcs , monitor transmission pids , drive / neutral is ok but other pids available , inspect all fuses ok , inspect gear linkage is ok but gear shifter cable has broken hold down case locks, manually shift into reverse vehicle shifts ok , so – Recommend to replace new shifter cable and recheck – Authorized
  • Installed cooling fan relays – ran engine at 1500 RPm, cooling fans cycle at 194 deg F – temperature stays normal Test drove vehicle temperature stays normal
  • Removed and replaced new shifter cable – adjusted and test operation – works as designed Test drove vehicle shifts fine
