  • Took a road test with customer the click noise heard on right side while backing or going front with full turn on both side and has steering wheel shake on freeway speed , raise vehicle up on air inspect found has click noise right front cv axle while turning and driving due to bad cv axle , also the shake and vibration caused by both front tires has bad threads , so swap front tires to rear – road test again no vibration and shakes Advised customer to replace right front cv axle and both Rear new tires and recheck Authorized for full recommendation – later canceled the tire replacement – Requested CV axle only

  • Charged battery and test – battery test good Scanned for DTC's: P0301 – Cylinder 1 misfire P0303 – Cylinder 3 misfire B1324, B1102, C1102, B1613, B1609, c1613, C1126, C1127, B1112 TPMS stays on Checked coolant in radiator – empty. Did not test drive due misfire and coolant steam from tail pipe Checked Oil level – overfull and milky Inspected under valve cover – no milky reside Removed cylinder head – noted coolant and oil creamed. Removed oil filter – noted lot of creamed oil – not a good sign for lower end bearings. It may have issues with connecting rod bearings in future Advised customer that it may be a good idea to replace with another engine. Customer authorized and advised to supply his own engine acknowledging no labor warranty on the engine. Recommend to replace new water pump, plugs , thermostat on the replacement engine. Customer changes mind next day and advise as follws: Customer had his regular mechanic call and advise that they want the head job done, cancel the engine replacement. Customer also confirmed that he wants the head job done – cancel the engine. Customer requested to flush engine couple times – additional cost for flushing apply. And also supplied a quart of High Millage Oil Stabilizer to add after last oil change. Therefore Sublet the cylinder head for repairs Installed the head with new bolts and gasket Replaced new spark plugs, thermostat & gasket, Crankshaft seal, water pump and PCV valve. Resealed and intake, exhaust and valve cover with new gaskets Cleaned residue – flushed engine oil twice on next job – after radiator replacement
  • Flushed engine on 2 cycles – checked oil quality and lining on oil filter – no more cream or sign of any coolant
  • Removed radiator – compared with customer supplied part – incorrect. Contacted customer – inquired if customer wants to buy one from shop – customer initially agreed, called and canceled next day. Customer bought his own replacement radiator Installed customer supplied radiator – filled with new coolant – bled system Pressure test – no leak noted Ran engine at 1500 RPM, cooling fan cycle at 202 deg F, temperature stays normal Drained engine oil after running for half hour, replaced with new oil and filter Test drove vehicle for about 5 miles, drained oil and replaced with new oil and filter – added customer supplied Oil stabilizer. Checked level and regulated Redrove vehicle for about 20 miles – runs fine
  • Cleaned head, Pressure and Vacuum Test, Replaced New Valve Seals, Resurfaced. Retest for leak – pass

  • Test drove vehicle, can hear some crunch/clutter type noise from right front while initially moving the vehicle or sometimes when brakes applied. Noise can only be heard at very low speed. No noise can be felt/heard over 15 mph. Inspected control arms, strut and strut mounts – okay Right front CV axle started to leak grease from the boot, but it is not the cause of the noise Recommend to drive until the noise gets more commonly present – bring it back for inspection
